I am an Anaesthetic ST5 in the Mersey Deanery. I trained in Liverpool, and have since worked mainly in the Mersey area, as well a short stint in Queensland Australia. I'm hoping to return to Australia in August 2010 to work out there for a year. I'm married (to a GP) with a baby boy. My other interests include most sports especially football and rugby.
I am a final year medical student at St George's, University of London - although I am currently taking a year out to study medical journalism. I enjoy walking along the Thames to Borough market at the weekends, making banana bread and walking my big and bouncy golden retriever, Bertie. I'm interested in psychiatry and geriatrics as future careers. My orthopaedics attachment was one of the worst fortnights of my life.
I am currently a CT2 surgical trainee with the London Deanery. I passed my MRCS exams not too long ago and see myself going into Orthopaedics (unlike Anna). I'm hoping to bring a surgical slant to the team and come up with some entertaining ideas for the readers. When I can drag myself away from work I enjoy living in London and trying in vain to keep reasonably fit.
I have been studying medicine in Leicester for the last few years but I am currently taking a year out for a degree in medical journalism. I am at present living in London and I aspire to be a paediatrician.
